I purchased a laptop on scamazon. The laptop top was not booting up at 1st and when it did the keyboard did not work. Without using the name i 1st took it to big box store who wanted to sell me all kinds of crap to grand total of 500.00 to fix it. I had no intention of fixing anything and knew this bi box store was trying to scam me.
I wanted 2nd opinion as to what was actually wrong with it so I could return it. I brought it here, I paid a extremely reasonable diagnostic fee. I didn't give any information about why I wanted them to look at it other then it would not boot up.They told me I just purchased it and gave me the advice to return it and that the PC was 6 to 8 years old and was on its last leg. They did not try to sell me anything and thanked me for coming in.
I went back today feeling obligated because of there honestty and purchased laptop from them because they are honest,nice people and have integrity.. BTW laptop works great

The Geek Squad told me this was likely a motherboard and to expect approximately a $450 charge. I took this to A Computer Genius and these guys ARE AWESOME. $149 dollars later, I received the laptop back the same day I turned it in. Works like a charm. They performed a diagnostic and soldered on a new USB-C charging port. No data loss, no hassles, no problem. Have read "some" of the reviews here but from experience here ... if you go in with realistic expectations, communicate exactly what the problems are - this is the team. They've been here for 25-plus years! You're asked to pay a small fee up-front to help cover the diagnostic, and they'll give you an honest assessment and ask how you want to move forward. I'm not sure anyone can reasonably ask for more. Great job - this was my 4th (or so) repair and you'll always get a straight answer.

I waited a month or so before reviewing. I have a decent laptop that wouldn't update Windows updates, blue screen every time it reset. Other places quoted me really high just to find out the issue. The inspection was free for me to leave it to find out what was wrong with it. It ended up being a pretty serious fault with the SSD hard-drive (needs replacement). I paid a reasonable deposit and got my laptop back in a day or so. Works fantastic. I truly believe they saved me money since that's all it needed. Other places like BestB down the road will make you pay double just to have a year of covered services. I may not need another service in the next year so I'd say I saved money for getting the one thing I needed fixed. Also easy to talk with and they answer questions well. I appreciate the local repair people!

My relatively new gaming laptop crashed on a Thursday night inexplicably. I tried my best to troubleshoot it unsuccessfully. My wife suggested calling this business instead of Geek Squad. I stopped by the next morning and was so surprised. They took my laptop, no BS, and told me to expect a call with a few hours. That was true. I got the good news/bad news which was all good--they could fix it and the cost was super reasonable. I was able to upgrade my laptop while they were in there fixing it and it was done the same day within an hour of the call. I was seriously so impressed. I hope to not need them for repairs for a little while but if I do, I won't lose sleep over a broken computer. Thank you Computer Genius!

A Computer Genius is the first place I go for any computer issues big or small for years now. They are very trustworthy, communicative, reasonably priced and kind. They've never tried to sell me a product or service that I don't need, and I've never had an issue with work that they've done. I am so grateful for them and send everyone I know their way!

I have been to A Computer Genius several times. They always get the job done at a reasonable price. This time I needed the keyboard replaced on a HP laptop that is at least four years old but otherwise functioning good. Once I took an older Apple Computer to attempt to get files from the hard drive and see if the computer could be repaired. They told me that it could not be repaired and that no files remained on the hard drive. They charged me nothing and returned the computer to me. I thought that was great.

Everyone should shop here for a computer and anything that goes along with it. They are very knowledgeable whether buying a new or used computer or just having one repaired. Friendly service and they should have a shipment of virtual reality equipment any day they will be the first in the area to offer this latest technology. Highly recommend this place.

I did not see your response before I came back in. I decided I wanted a computer for myself after buying my wife one. You were very helpful. This was the first time I had ever purchased a used computer. It has only been a day but I have been very pleased with it.
Staff is helpful and knowledgeable but as a computer store you would think they would understand the importance of social media and maybe having items online. They have a sign saying they will offer tax free weekend on Monday. If they had it on Friday and promoted it I would have gone there instead of micro center today.

I have been dealing with this company for almost 2 decades and I've never had a single problem. We have purchased several computers over the years and the service is absolutely the best!
This company fully understands the importance of quick repairs at affordable prices. They have new and used computers available for sale as well as accessories.
Park right out front and carry your computer in when you return your carry it right out with no steps so excellent for those with disabilities.
I have done business with other companies in the past only to be completely dissatisfied and was stuck with a computer I received as a gift that was defective this company was able to fix it so it was usable as the place that it was purchased from would not back up their warranty. This is when I learned to only buy computers locally!

Great business. Brought them my MacBook (that's right, the old white MacBooks....) which Apple and Best Buy deemed too "vintage" to upgrade, and in two days A Computer Genius had it running on a platform one step behind the current Apple operating platform. They included the memory upgrade for free as part of the operating system update and found me a used battery for pennies. Cost me significantly less than a new computer and saved me creating more electronic waste. I'd recommend their work to anyone, my laptop works like new again. Go for it!
