Took my HP5500 Lazer print to get a maganta scanner replaced. My machine showed Error #51.2M I went on Youtube to see how to replace it. I would have replaced my self but did not know where to get the scanner. Video on YouTube takes 9 minutes to replace. I was charged 4 hours labor at $125.00 an hour for a total of $500, plus tax on that $500. at University Copier. Go search youtube error before taking copier in as they are over charging in my opinion.

This is where you want to get your computer repaired. I worked with Roy and he is trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. This office is efficiently run and everyone is professional. I've been here several times with two different computers and have had nothing but positive experiences.

I was experiencing operational difficulties with my 5-year old iMac and was searching for a place to run diagnostics when I located University Computers. I paid the $50 diagnostic fee and learned that I did not need a new computer but I did need a new hard drive. The $300 price was reasonable and the 24-hour turn-around time was fast. I took it home and could not believe the lightning fast operating speed. Wish I had taken it in a year ago when it first started crashing. I definitely recommend University Computers.

Called to have a repair done on a wide format printer, called Monday, was told someone would come by the next day. $40 fee for driving 5 miles to come look at my printer! Are you kidding me? Then the next day came, no call no show. I call them three times throughout the course of the day. Absolutely terrible customer service, I would not recommend to anyone.

I took an Epson ECO-tank printer in for a feeding tray issue. They checked with Epson to verify my warranty and discovered that I had an extended warranty of two years since I had registered the printer online. I was completely unaware of the extended warranty. I ended up getting a free (refurbished) printer from Epson at no charge. They even loaded up the replacement printer with ink to make sure it was working properly before I picked it up.

They went above and beyond. They obviously view customer satisfaction and service as the key to long-term profit. Most people nowadays would have gone for the quick short-term profit.

My laptop was having a problem with randomly turning off so I brought it into Best Buy which took 2 weeks! Sure enough I kept having the same problem even after they "fixed the problem" so I decided to bring it into University Computers since they seemed to specialize in this service. The lady at the front was extremely welcoming and I was assured that this problem would be fixed!

Guess what, they kept their word and it only took a few days! They even found out I had a virus problem and were able to get clean out my computer while still recovering all of my files. Thank you University Computers!

A Complete Disaster. My wife brought her perfectly functioning Mac Laptop to upgrade the hard drive to Fort Worth's University Computer. They later claimed that the motherboard was broken so they replaced it with a used one. We paid for the hard drive upgrade and the new motherboard. We had no choice. After a few months my wife's computer started to crash.

She would turn it on and few minutes later it would crash. This was a new problem. My wife decided to ignore the problem (never telling me) and began using her work Mac laptop. Several months pass and she finally tells me of the problem. Too late, the warranty period has lapsed. Bad news. the combination of my wife procrastinating and poor work by University Computers spelled disaster. This Mac Laptop is now a paper weight. This week, she purchased a new Mac Laptop.

I left my laptop with them for a problem where the screen didn't come on every time, and Pd $56.00 after three weeks They called, I picked it up Pd. $142.00, got home same problem. I took it back told them it wasn't a display problem like the note taped on the front of the laptop said. "display only comes on after several restarts, " likely Software issue".

So I asked the tech "do you still have the old display? Yes, why don't you test it, I know it's still good. A week or so later, they called and said "we can't recreate the problem" so I ok'd a reinstall of win 8. and I requested new keyboard, (it needed one) he said it would cost me $30.00 since I already paid for labor. I was a bit upset I paid 99.00 + labor for a 40.00 display, that was not defective.

When I picked it up the next time, they charged me 40.00 even though I was told 30.00. OK, I told the lady that I was paying it but was upset that I paid for a display that wasn't bad. She throws up her hands and walks away saying I don't know about that. I thanked my tech and shook his hand. So 5 weeks later after 3 days at home my laptop display won't come on, and I am headed back to University Computers on W.7th St. in Fort Worth. ( for the 5th time.) I even found a possible fix for it and emailed it to my tech. I hope they can find the problem. I will update this review at the appropriate time.

There is no better customer service in this business than the University Store. John took the best care of me when my computer crashed in helping get all my software reinstalled and running in a timely manner. When I bought the computer the young man that came to install it a make sure it was running correctly was very kind and knowledgeable in his product. Thank you for the old fashion care that customers need today.

I called Cannon to find a local place to take my scanner. Cannon recommended University Products Inc. I called and spoke to a very friendly gentleman. I called the next day and talked to a very Witch's middle aged lady. When I asked her when the store closed today. It's Friday. She snapped at me saying at 5:00 PM if you can get here. It was 4:00 and it's only a 30 minute drive.

I asked her if the fellow who works on the computers was there today and she snapped and said: "Yeah, but he's not gonna get to it until Tuesday". Well Duh! When I got to the store I asked the man if he was the one I had spoken with on the telephone Wednesday and he said: "Yes". He furthermore went on to Call Cannon and see if they could help him locate the part.

As it turned out there was no replaceable part. They gave him a Cannon phone number for me to call to pay for getting a refurbished replacement scanner. He advised me had he worked on it it would have been $100 per hour to work on it. He had told me on the phone that It cost $54.13 just to troubleshoot it but that would go towards the cost of repair.
