This business is a scam! TRPN Direct Pay has been engaging in a scheme to deceptively enroll healthcare providers of all specialties into their network by sending a $15 check to the practice made out to the provider. These checks are valid, the arrangement is legitimate, and this network is dangerous to the bottom line for those who cash/deposit the check. Included with the check is a single page document in small (8pt?) font outlining the terms of the participation agreement.

If you sign this check, here is a simple outline of what you are agreeing to: Reimbursement: The lesser of 35 % off the billed charge, 10% off maximum allowable, or 150% of Medicare with NO exceptions allowed. If a state, or federal fee schedule, or benefit plan allowable exists, the reimbursement rate shall be 10% below the fee schedule. Provider agrees that all out-of-network claims shall be processed through this agreement without exception.

Provider agrees not to directly bill the patient for any difference between the billed amount and the amount tendered by TRPN DirectPay or its customer. To put this in perspective, if you were to bill $3,000 for a pair of hearing aids that have a $1500 allowed amount, you are required to accept $975 as payment in full. Agreement: This agreement is binding from the date the check is cashed or deposited.

This agreement has a 36 month term and will automatically renew unless written notice is provided six months prior to renewal. This agreement is construed and interpreted under the laws of Nevada. The icing on the cake of this agreement is that TRPN requires the provider to supply them with their "best rate" based on actual collections for the same services.

To ensure they are getting your best rate, you must supply them a certified copy of collection history! If it is not supplied within 30 days of request, they default payment to 120% of Medicare. Medicare pays $0 for hearing aids. 120% of $0 is ZERO!
