I reached out to Odyssey to place me to my previous client. Scott Kee was my recruiter. He listened to me patiently and helped me to place me with my previous client smoothly. I appreciate all his hard work to place me. Thank you Scott. Shout out to Brandy Mathews and Lindsey Fedel. They went above and beyond to make sure that I could join the client asap. Scott, Brandy and Lindsey were very professional and helpful. I am very impressed with the service from Odyssey. Thank you all. Regards Syed Hassan

We worked with Odyssey to find a part-time software developer for our business. They have a good talent pool, compared to some other recruiters we worked with, though there were 2 major issues with our experience: 1. While the developer we went with was experienced, his work ethic was not up to par. He took on our project as a side business to his full time job and we repeatedly asked to ensure he had the bandwidth to take it on.

Not only did he totally bail out on the project, but we looked awful in front of the client and then he proceeded to drag his feet to complete the project - not to successful completion. It was a major fail. We paid top dollar for his services. What a waste. 2. Our account rep didn't even bother to give us the time of day. He repeatedly e-mailed to ask about when we could talk, but then never confirmed meeting times, and then just disappeared off the face of the earth.

Very unprofessional. Sending outlook invites to confirm meetings is not difficult - and it's a pretty basic qualification for having a sales job. Very subpar experience. We would NOT RECOMMEND Odyssey.

I've known these guys (and gals) for years now. They have always been super professional and awesome to work with. Their account managers know what they're doing and aren't pushy at all. Additionally, the recruiters always provide strong candidates and never waste my time. Finding good staffing firms is hard these days, especially with the influx of sub-par firms in the market. Odyssey is one of the great ones and I highly recommend working with them for your IT (and other niche) recruiting needs.

The recruiter responded to my message after 5pm and setup a phone call the next day. I was very impressed with how fast recruiting was conducted.

Do not waste your time applying for a job posted on any large job seeking website for which they're listed as the point of contact, nor those directly on their own website - you are wasting your time. They lack even the most basic professional skills such as responding to a resume application, or acknowledging a kind follow-up email reiterating your interest in a position. The LinkedIn profile for the "recruiter" showed someone whose background was dancing and cheerleading. that tells you all you need to know. Avoid.

If you or someone you know is looking for a job in the IT industry, DO NOT use OIS. I was placed on a contract to hire position and after a couple of months being employed the company decided to switch me to part time, being reduced from 35 hours to just 10. Without any warning and my recruiter didn't deem it necessary to either fight for me; work to find me another job or keep in constant contact.

After about a week of going part-time, the company decided to lay me off, again no warning and my recruiter had this "Oh well" attitude. Even after all that, I was willing to give them another chance (who likes to be unemployed). I came across another position that I felt I was more than qualified (it was listed under a different recruited within OIS) and I reached out to my recruiter but never received a response.

After about a week or so I sent a followup email asking if the position was still available. (Insert crickets chirping here). I then emailed to recruiter who was actually responsible for the position and again no response. After several attempts to contact my recruiter, I finally received a one line email and no further communication has been made.

If I did something wrong, tell me, also give me a chance to tell my side of the story. In the beginning, I did enjoy working for the people I was contracted to work for (NBS) until I realized that they didn't have the guts to even talk to me and again, let me explain myself. I'm with a better company who treats me with respect. STAY AWAY FROM OIS!
