WaterField Designs is a San Francisco original. We have been designing and manufacturing bags and cases in our own backyard from the start. I contacted them by email, voice mail, and telephone. I heard a recording saying they would get back to me. They did not. Never heard from them. Is this really a business?

They saved my older MacBook Pro after I got an ominous system pop-up telling me the battery needed immediate servicing. They were prompt (just a few days for the part to come in and installation to be done, with helpful status updates emailed along the way), knowledgable, and saved me a lot of money in the process. Highly recommended.

Outstanding service. Even if this isn't the most convenient location for you, it's absolutely worth the drive. I was promptly greeted for my scheduled appointment. Joel listened patiently and professionally as I described my problem, then he diagnosed the problem, expertly explained the issue and helped ensure that my Mac wasn't damaged or malfunctioning. While tests were running on my Mac, he helped a colleague with another customer. An absolute top notch company.

I can't say enough good things about Mac Edge. The staff is all incredible kind, knowledgeable and wonderful to deal with. They explain everything, are very patient with even the most frazzled customers. They have fixed for me everything from broken screens on my ipad to issues with my phone and my macbooks. Highly recommend!

The employees were very friendly and helpful. I was referred to by name, in a non pretentious way, my problem was addressed quickly and professionally. There was absolutely no pressure into buying a newer phone or any BS about how it's impossible to get parts for it. I I ever have problems with my I phone or am looking to purchase one, this will be my first and probably only stop. Thank you to everyone in the store.

My phone was absolutely broken and these guys were a big help in fixing it. It was a short interaction but they were very nice and understanding. You can tell they get yelled at by people a lot as they were really worried when they told me how much it would cost, it's Apple what do you expect.

I stopped into Mac Edge yesterday day to purchase an iPad and the pencil accessory The staff was great in helping me set it up and give me a tutorial as to how to use the pencil. While I was there, I witnessed several other customers coming in with various questions and concerns. Whatever the issue, the staff was incredibly helpful and patient, professional and friendly. When my iMac suddenly refused to boot up after installing a security update, Apple US Support gave me the option of getting it serviced at an Apple Store, or at a locally run Apple Premiere Partner in Portsmouth NH. Figured I'd skip the zoo at the Apple Store and try MacEdge instead. Great Call! It was immediately evident it's a place where you're a Name and not a Number.

Not only did Matt and Joel clearly know their stuff but the shop is well-organized and a pleasure to be in. They were able to diagnose and resolve the issue on the spot (Eureka!), and then went above and beyond to assess not just what occurred but what likely caused it. You can tell in an instant when people take pride in their work, and these guys go the extra mile to ensure that they resolve things to one's satisfaction. Now that I know about MacEdge, I won't hesitate to stop back for gear or servicing. Top notch in every respect, and highly recommended.

These guys are great! After a bad experience at an Apple store, I started going to MacEdge. Since then, they're the only store and people I trust to help me with my Apple products. They helped me chose products that worked for me and listened to my needs. These guys always go above and beyond when it comes to fixing something that may be broken or helping me with a simple task.

Their service fixes are fast- they were able to fix my Mac in two weeks before I left for school with plenty of time. I feel confident that my needs are met and that I am a valued customer. I will keep giving this store my business for as long as I can. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for all my Apple needs!

Had a great experience with a repair on my MBP. The had an appointment available right away, great communication, parts were ordered quickly, the repair was done perfectly, and I had my laptop back in just over 24 hours. Great communication through the whole process. They also had a ton of accessories available for all Apple products in stock!

These people are sincerely interested in helping you with your technology issues. I am an older person and not always tech savvy but they treated me with kindness and respect and pointed the way to resolve my problem. I will definitely use them when it is time to purchase my next apple product and for any future tech needs I might have.

They sold me an iPad which was not the model that I requested. I thought I was doing something wrong because it didn't work the same way as my last iPad. When I finally figured out the problem I asked to return it which they allowed but charged me a 15% restocking fee.

I am so impressed with MacEdge. I brought my iPad in because it would not boot up, and thought that it was a goner. Matt, Joel and Brett did not give up on it and the final thing that Joel tried, got it working. I was figuring I was going to be buying a new one, but they got this one going. I HIGHLY recommend MacEdge. Also since I was there for about an hour, I watched their interactions with all the customers. No question, or problem was too big or too small. They are a young group, very tech savvy but able to talk to customers at their level. Thank you so much.

I was in the store yesterday. Two rudest men I've ever encountered in retail. Hopefully they are not the owners and their boss boots them. I watched the guy servicing my phone shout at a older woman for bringing back a newly purchased iPad that had an issue. Poor lady has to drive back because of their junk product and you have the nerve. Grossly incompetent, stay away from this store

Friendly and efficient service! I scheduled an appointment through the website and arrived at the specified time. I was helped immediately and my problem was resolved within 15 minutes. Service fees were extremely reasonable! I highly recommend MacEdge.

We just moved to the area from out of state and did not know who to bring my rather complicated computer issues to, so I took a chance and went to MacEdge. I am so glad I did! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and were willing to go above and beyond to help me with this complicated issue involving extra paperwork for insurance claims.

I am so grateful for their help and extra time they spent to make sure I had exactly what I needed. On top of that, they helped me into a fantastic replacement iMac that I am completely thrilled with. I recommend this place to anyone and won't go anywhere else!

I came in last night, distraught, having spent all day trying to get my iCloud, my external hard drive, and my photo center to open, let alone sync. Joel and Jason were wonderful and so very helpful! Joel proceeded to spend nearly an hour with me explaining each step as he helped me rectify every issue one by one. He even figured out why I couldn't open iPhotos and why my primary external hard drive wouldn't work, plus explained the whole iCloud thing to me in an easily digestible way.

And Jason helped me sync my phone with iCloud, redownload all the files to my desktop sucked into iCloud, plus test an old external drive to see if it was still working. These two are WONDERFUL! I am now a die-hard customer. Do yourself a favor and go here!

My 5 year old MacBook Pro started having major issues basically rendering it unusable. After opening the 3rd or 4th Safari tab it would hang requiring a reboot and at times a Force Quit. I've been in software for 24 years and feel I'm qualified to express an opinion for technical support. At first, I thought it was my WiFi internet speed. I upgraded to Xfinity X1 Triple Play.

After the upgrade, I constantly get 600 to 700 Mbps download. Yet, the MacBook still hung. Off to MacEdge in Portsmouth I went where I had the good fortune to meet Joel! I described the symptoms and he was able in short order to replicate the problem. We both agreed it was either hardware or software. On the spot, I purchased a new 15 MacBook 2.3 GHz Intel Core i9 the fastest he had.

I left it overnight for Joel to port the settings and data. The next day I brought it home and much to my dismay, it did the same thing. I brought it back to Joel. We agreed the issue was software or a configuration setting. He informed me Mac's create two separate pools for configurations. One for documents and one for OS/User settings. He backed up the new MacBook, wiped it clean and the reinstalled Mojave.

Then he created a test running streaming media from 7 Safari tabs that never blinked for hours. He then copied back down my documents and ran the test again which was successful. That told him there was a bad user setting. Therefore, he manually configured the basic user settings I needed by hand. Again, the streaming test was a success. I couldn't be happier with Joel's troubleshooting skills and persistence to get to the root cause of the problem.

I absolutely love my new MacBook Pro. The Retina display is stunning and the device screams performance wise. If you have a Mac problem, you'd be a fool to take it anywhere else other than MacEdge in Portsmouth. Thanks Joel, ~ Matthew Teborek

Been having some issues with my computer. Called to see if I could get an appt and was seen that day. Dylan checked it out, cleaned out some troublesome stuff and got me back on track. He was sooo patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I never felt rushed, and left feeling a big sigh of relief. I'm going to spread the word about how nice it was to shop local and get good results. We stopped by without an appointment and were immediately greeted by an associate offering to help. Our son's iPhone had been apparently hacked, it took them a few minutes to resolve the issue and show him how to fix it, should it happen again in the future. They didn't even charge us! I would come back again and again, they were knowledgeable, patient and provided great customer service to an "anxious" teenager who thought had lost his phone to the cyber ghosts for the rest of the summer! Thank you for solving the issue and teaching us to solve it in the future.

The people at this place are incredibly helpful! I've been there twice in the past couple of months for advice on my MacBook Air and they've taken the time to sit with me and figure it out, offering me valid advice and never charging me anything. I highly recommend and trust this place!

Joel helped me out of a "black screen of death" issue with my MacBook Pro and an iPhone lock-out that happened on the same day, and he gave me instructions on how to get back in action. He allowed me to work on it there at the store so I could ask him a question if I got stuck. The store was crowded and it was just before Christmas, so I had to wait a while for my turn. Still, it was much easier than driving to the nearest Apple store and waiting there.

The MacEdge guys stayed calm, friendly, and helpful despite the line and the pressure of everyone else's stress. Most importantly, they solved the Mac problems I was having and gave me excellent advice on protecting my data and settings while my MacBook is near the end of it's expected life. MacEdge was recommended to me by a colleague, and now I recommend them also. I'm so glad to have MacEdge to consult locally on Mac issues!

Save your money. This place is awful. Took my MacBook Pro in for repair- slow starting up and a weak battery. They handed me back my laptop having cleared the contents and put all data on an external drive. Since my bill was already almost $250 I asked "how much to fix the thing so I can actually use it." Their response "$99." I now have to take my laptop to Salem NH, a real Apple Store and ask them to start all over. Save your money and avoid MacEdge.

Had a display problem with my MacBook Pro 13 Retina. Anti-Reflective Coating was starting to delaminate. Found out that it's a common problem with certain models. Tried to call the Salem Apple Store and ended up talking to someone at a call center who was totally clueless. Long story short. Found MacEdge in Portsmouth on Route 1 In Portsmouth a Certified Apple Sales/Repair Center. Brought my MacBook in on a Thursday got an email the following day that it was ready. Unbelievable fast and professional service! Give them a try before scheduling service at your nearest Apple Store. Excellent experience!

I came in with a MacBook Pro that had a cursor moving on its own. They diagnosed it right in front of me and pointed out a few things wrong with the computer but let me choose which ones to fix. They explained everything in detail such as possible reasons why the cursor moved on its own and checked for each one while I was watching them do the tests.

They then quoted me 3-5 business days (fair enough, they need to get the parts from Apple), so I was pleasantly surprised when the very next day it was ready. I'm now typing this review on said computer with a working trackpad. They charged a $139 flat fee for labor plus whatever for parts, and even removed adware they found for free! I will be coming back if my Apple products stop working properly again.
