Update 3-31-22 Had to go with another WISP Antelecom could not figure out a problem with my speed dropping during the evening. Staff and tech were great people I was hoping for something good but could not wait any longer. Update 10-5-21 Just spoke to Antelecom's Network Engineer he took the time to explain why I may be having a problem, that it could be many factors.

He did not give me "lip service" or feed me a bunch of B.S. My service with Antelecom is good, but after talking to Antelecom's Network Engineer sounds like good things are coming to Antelecom (Occam's Razor), and their customers. I am Looking forward to the upgrades coming down the pike. At my age. I know the real players by now.and the Engineer Rocked! Update 4-24-20 having trouble reaching my minimum of 6 Mbps (4.25).may be an issue on my end.? Update just hit 52 Mbps, 12-3-18 (5:32 am) granted the bandwidth bogarts are still asleep (kiddies), so traffic is minimal. 52 Mbps!

Oh Yeah. I must say I like the "new" style of "dish" antenna versus the old BBQ grill looking antenna. Update 10-18-18 11:49 am (time of day "is" a factor here) Just hit 10 Mbps (random test) which is great for this time of day. I wish I had upgraded sooner (although my son was in college, and bleeding us dry (we were OK with that)). For the extra dollars the speed just rocks!

I can enjoy the peace and quiet of my home and yet still have "very good" service. Will update.although probably not needed. Well done. Antelecom.well done. Wait! 51 Mbps at 5:45am (low traffic) 10-10-18 OMG! I am Lovin it! I realize as the kiddies wake up, and use their IT devices demand rises, and speeds go down.but 51 Mbps just Kicks Butt!

Constantly buffering.called in for assistance at least 4 times and same answer my TV is too big and they see nothing wrong on their end. Switching providers I'm done.

This internet provider is a scam. They give you around 400 Kb/s download and their phone numbers lead to to alien noises blasting in your ear. They do not know how to even make a good connection. you can barely run videos at 480p and yet it still freezes. In your household, you will only be able to have about one phone and maybe you Samsung smart fridge connected to the Wi-Fi. Overall their internet is complete utter garbage and you should not buy from them ever.

I truly believe that this company is stuck in the stone ages! The fact that they think they can scam people just because they live in the boonies pains me to the core! This company is truly blinded by greed and crave for money! The zero morals this company follows is truly showing it's colors and they need to change there primitive ways!

Very disappointed with technician He didn't want to install the service I waited for 2 weeks to the installation and he only expend 5 minutes making all kinds of excuses for the installation

Iv been with this provider for about 9 years now. They have not shown a single sign of upgrading their terrible internet. They say they will provide you with 11 Mb download speed but in reality its 11 Mb for the whole neighborhood. This is the worst internet provided in this area and they should be put to sleep. If you are thinking about buying from this company, think again they just want your money.

Overall Antelecom is a terrible company ran by grease goblins from Clash of Clans. I am being brutally honest because I want this company to realize the pain they are bringing to the community.

Great internet service and friendly staff! under $70 for their highest tier service, it's only 12 mbps but I live game a 3rd person shooter from one console and stream movies to 2 other consoles with minimal to no lag. only if I'm gaming and streaming and then add a couple of mobile devices will it start to lag. I had hughes net with 25 mbps and it would lag with one device streaming basically was good to check ur email that's about it. Antelecom AWESOME! HughesNet HORRIBLE!

We have been with Antelecom for 10 years, it has improved over that time though not much. We have the 4G 2X which was a huge improvement over the previous version. Currently we average between 0.6 - 2Mbps (in Antelope Acres) according to Speedtest. According to Antelecom we are running at 10-12Mbps. You be the judge: We have to turn the video down to either 720p or even down to 480p to stream continuously otherwise lots of pauses to load and this is with only ONE device streaming and no cloud services like cameras, etc.

To be fair, sometimes we will see ~10Mbps, although that's usually at 1AM on a weekday. Two stars because it is far better than Hughes Net and of course better than no internet at all.

If you have other options available to you for wireless internet, go elsewhere. Techs are rude and service inconsistent. go with another company that appreciates you as a customer.

Their service is very inconsistent. I had their service for 2 years and made numerous calls to try to get better service. None of the attempts correct anything long at at all. Plan on having no service in the evenings. I say find anyone else to get service through. If your a student DO NOT use them.

If you live in a building that can receive a Antelecom, Inc connection and you have been suffering with Comcast, then you owe it to yourself to switch. Like. right now. Antelecom, Inc' connection speeds are amazing, their prices are reasonable, and their customer service is top notch. Ron B. was our installation technician and he did a fantastic job of communicating with us before, during, and after our service appointment.

He handled all our questions, was able to troubleshoot some minor wiring problems in our home, and got it all done super quickly. Overall, Antelecom, Inc offers a really great product.

The 4G 2X service has been very reliable and quick. It is excellent to have to overcome for places that have poor cell phone service and cannot get DSL/Cable access.

I dealt with satilight for about 7 years and finally asked my neighbors who their carrier was and it was Antelecom, ,, These guys do rock, ,, Service has been great and when I need help they are very kind and helpful to get it resolved

I just got Antelecom for my work, with a 12/3Mbps service. We have a good connection so far, with no network problems. We have been having trouble with the 7/0.768Mbps Frontier DSL for a long time, and can't get Spectrum installed in our building yet. We are using a cloud based ERP system, email, and VOIP phones. Fortunately, we are only 1.2 miles from one of their towers, and have a very strong signal.

Give Antelecom a chance. Most of these reviews are very old and many of them are from customers who may have been at the edge of Antelecom's ability to provide service. Other reviewers have noted that Antelecom had upgraded their network since then.

Antelecom's service is fast and so far has been reliable. The business I work for operates seven desktops and four VOIP phones and Antelecom's "4G 2X" service (12Mbps download and 3Mbps upload rate) have allowed us to do away with our old Frontier fax and DSL line (7Mbps upload and 0.768Mbps download), saving us money each month while providing better service than with our previous provider.

Iv lived in the Rural area for about 8 years and have had to deal with Satellite all these years, switching over was a thought in process LOL, , Antelecom has made my life so much more complete now with Antelecom and I have had only one time where I had to reboot the system I LOVE IT, ,,T HANKS ANTELECOM

They sent a service tech out (Brian?), to install a new antenna. He was polite and answered all my questions. My new antenna points to the west versus the old one that pointed to the south (Tango system). The tech said my service would improve.and it did. Update: 9-10-18 OK just upgraded to the 4G x2 not a bad deal, for only $23 more per month (10x the speed) will see how the data flows during heavy traffic times.

Antelecom has been working hard to upgrade their service for their customers. New 4GX2 service should provide speeds double that of their prior 4G WiMAX setup. I'm scheduled for an upgrade install next Friday. In the past the service is been slow but in recent months I have noticed marked improvements. I hope that their new service works out.

Field technicians have always been great. Calling the office, on the other hand, some of the reps have attitudes and are short with customers. I gave them five stars because I can tell they have been working to improve their network and customer experience. As rural ISPS they have been great! Beats dialup or Satellite any day/time, and is a lot less expensive than Verizon's HomeFusion (LTE Internet Installed); and Antelecom has no data caps.

When I tried to get service from Time Warner Cable (TWC) a few months back, they had to 'survey' my area to see if I was eligible for service. The next day I received an email from TWC stating, "[.] we are not under any obligation to provide service to your area." Thanks TWC! If you have no local Telco that provides good quality DSL/Cable, look into Antelecom.

Don't even bother with Antelecom. It's almost like not even have wireless because it never even works. Plus the people on the helpline are rude when all I want to know is if their system is down. It's also very slow the times that it happens to work. I'm glad that Charter is in Rosamond now and it probably works even better than this. If I could give this zero stars I definitely would.

If I could give this service a zero I would! Because their service is crap and the sucky thing is. They're pretty much the only service provider in Rosamond! I do not know if it's where my house is at, but the service is shotty, goes in and out all on the time! So one min I have "okay" service then next I have no service. And when I DO have service, it is dial up slow!

Oh yeah! And forget about running multiple devices. BECAUSE YOU CANT! It just can't take it! I have to do one thing at a time or everything slows to a crawl or it just becomes so annoyingly slow I give up. I literally have to sit in one spot when I'm on the phone because if I'm walkin around or moving, it drops the call over and over again!

My reception isn't that great to begin with out in Rosamond, but even with my crappy reception, it is better than their internet service! I wish they had Time Warner out here because their service is impeccable! I have TWC internet at my moms, and it is amazing and fast. I am thinking about buying my own router to see if that makes it any better, but somehow I doubt it.

But they're crap! And as I mentioned it sucks because they're only one of the 2 internet providers out here, so they can get away with treating their customers crappy (from what I read on other reviews of them) and provide crappy service! If TW Cable ever comes out here I think this place will go out of business. So even tho AT&T might be more expensive, you'll definitely be getting better service (and that's saying a lot) than what Antelecom provides. Don't waste your time!

Horrifically slow, and unbelievably unreliable. I DETEST their horrible speeds.but i have no other options. i have been strongly considering getting dial up. My fiance and i have upgraded to the highest speed and i still get the "connection has timed out" thing on our web browser almost every time i get on the internet. I literally had to close the page that i was trying to load after waiting 5 minutes for a moto to load on cycletrader. Ive called them before, and they said that "everything seemed fine on their end" BAH! this company will either need to do a huge overhaul of their infrastructure, otherwise i do not see their piss-poor, not as advertised speeds as a viable business.

Antelecom is here because there isn't any competition in the area for broadband. In the outlying areas of the Antelope Valley they are the only provider. The speed in very slow and getting worse. I agree with the other reviewer who stated that YouTube is out. Now they are charging an extra fee to receive a billing statement, they only want to do business via email. Passing the cost of doing there job onto the consumer. If anything else becomes available I will be gone.

Looking at the others reviews, they are not that far off. What the deal is Antelecom overloads its server. When I first subcribed the speed was fair, but they kept adding customers to the server, without adding more servers. My son whose a gamer sleeps during the day, and goes online after 11:00 PM and plays till 6:00AM. When the kids get home from school, demand peaks, and service gets slow. weekends are slower also.

In the wee hours when everyone is asleep, service is Good. Antelecom is my only choice, and the Dirtbags at Verizon, said I should have DSL in about 1 year (that was 6 years ago). But hey its better than a modem (off peak).

In my experience Antelecom/Reliable Computers give zero shits about service. Alright, maybe they give 1 shit, if my business completely doesn't have internet they will take care of that.

You have to be a dumb_____ (fill in your favorite noun) to write a review where you think wireless internet service should be like Time Warner Cable, or AT&T DSL. It's like saying that Steer and Stein is a world-class, five star restaurant. That's just being plain ignorant. Look, you need to educate yourself first. Go to the library and use their Internet connection to read up on what Antelecom provides. It's OVER-THE-AIR-RADIO-SIGNAL-NOT-DSL-OR-CABLE wireless Internet.

And in the Antelope Valley, where some people live way west of the prison, or way east of 50th Street East.you're lucky to get this service. It's not perfect, but neither are the Antelope Valley's local cable or DSL providers. Because there's no way, not in your lifetime, not in your kids' lifetime, not even in your grandchildren's lifetimes will AT&T, Time Warner, Verizon, Sprint, or your mom and dad's favorite telecommunications provider, will they ever spend the money to upgrade the infrastructure to those remote areas.

And if you live in those remote areas, and ask them to trench lines to your house so you can get 20 mb/second.they'll just laugh at you, go to Yelp and write a review about how completely freaking stupid you are. So.either move back to Los Angeles, or thank your lucky stars you even got.75 megabits a second to where before.you only got a dial tone.

I agree that they are not super fast. BUT when I call them on the phone, I get REAL people, and my problem is almost always handled and solved. That's worth a LOT these days! Only had one tech rep that was sort of rude ONE TIME, and Ive been with them since 1998 when they were Hughes, and that's a pretty damn good record. On the whole, a good company, good service and they actually care about their customers! FIVE STARS!
