I've been to ABMS quite a few times for various computer issues and every time, Jim and Ken really do a great job of fixing my computers at a very reasonable price. The last issue I had was when I spilled coffee on my laptop and destroyed it, I took my new computer to them and they were able to transfer my old desktop to my new one. They are honest, thorough and very nice to work with. Jim let me call him excessively to check in on the status of everything and was very patient with me. They are my go-to for computer repair and I completely trust them.

Jim has decades of experience, and you will not find a more honest and straight forward guy in this business. I have recommended him many times. And you won't be paying for store front overheads. He is our trusted advisor and friend with skills dating back to the begining of the internet.

Mr. jim is one of the kindest most honest guys you'll ever meet he has such great service skills he make you feel right at home. I accidentally erased all the data from one of my sd cards and he was able to retain everything. I would recommend anyone with computer issues to this great business.

I would advise you to run and use someone else. Complete scam. I asked for them to come see the problem with my computer at my home. The guy was only there for a few minutes he said he needed to take my computer to the shop. This is what I was trying to avoid. Within a few hours I received a phone call saying my computer would need a new hard drive and it would cost $309. and my new still under warranty external hard drive needs to be replaced and he would sell me another one for $89.00.

As a senior I wasn't in agreement with the new hard drive when I went to pick up my computer he wanted a different price if I was using a credit card and he wanted cash. I didn't even have my e-mail on it and it had another antivirus because they said they couldn't put the antivirus that I had on my computer back on. When I got my computer home and plugged back in it had the same problems even more problems than when they took it in.

I took my exteneral hard drive to another facility they told me it was working as it should be after I purchased a new hard drive. Because I was informed by ABMS that if I used it, it would corrupt my computer. I had no e-mails and my printer wouldn't work properly off of it so I purchased a new printer after contacting the manufacture of my original printer.

I can't even tell you the nightmare this has been. I had to go out and buy a new computer. And this guy wants to be paid. I give them a zero rating but you have to rate them before you post your comments. My computer is constantly freezing up it is in worse condition than when they took it in for repair. When I told him about the workmanship he wanted to charge me more money to fix the problem he caused.

It's rarely a happy occasion when you have to bring your computer in for repair but Jim is fantastic. He's saved my butt a few times now. Quick and honest and incredibly fair with his pricing.

This is the best computer repair store I've ever tried & I'm sticking with them. My PC had become so problematic that I thought it would have to be replaced. But, they fixed it & now it works better than ever. Prices are reasonable & they are very patient.no attitude like so many other repair services. Thanks ABMS!

My computer wouldn't boot and after trying to fix it myself (bought a new PSU) I had to throw my hands up and take it in to a repair center for the first time in my life. I'm glad I went with ABMS. Dropped it off with Ken in the morning, he checked in with me in the afternoon telling me everything was going fine (the water cooling mechanism on my processor had failed), and I picked it up after work the same day from Jim. Ken and Jim were both very nice and knowledgeable, and the price wasn't bad either - $120 all told, parts and labor. Highly recommended!

Possibly the best Mac/PC repair people I have encountered. Fast service, friendly and patient staff and so down to Earth. Fair prices, too! If you have had it with egotistical, passive aggressive techs, this is the place for you! Run, don't walk.

I was a bit concerned by some of the negative Yelp reviews, but decided to give ABMS a try after shelf fell off our wall and onto our (closed) laptop computer. The touchscreen was shattered. I had already been to two big box stores, one which quoted me $650 (on a $800 computer) to replace the screen/top and another which said they couldn't get the part.

I decided one more try at a local shop, ABMS. Jim was great - listened to what had happened, said he needed to take apart the screen to get the correct part number, contacted the manufacturer and searched the after parts market. He spent a lot of time on this, only to find out that the screen was only available at this time if I sent the computer back to the manufacturer (the $650 was accurate). Ultimately, he charged me only for 30 minutes of labor in spite of spending a lot more time to get me an answer.

We ended up not doing the repair (have bought a new laptop), but I'd trust Jim and ABMS next time I needed computer help, either for hardware or software. Please note, Jim was not condescending, impatient or anything other than kind, understanding and helpful.not to mention he cut me a deal on his original quote because he felt badly that he couldn't do the repair because the manufacturer wouldn't sell the part to repair shops.

I'd have to say of the few times I went there, the ONE bad experience overrules the rest. On one occasion when they replaced the motherboard it was needed so I can give them credit for that but on another occasion there was something not right and the owner cited the power supply stating the figures that indicate the correct voltage were off.

But the difference as I later learned(most likely from reading on the Net) were so miniscule that he intentionally lied about the health of this component as a means of talking me into replacing it. Therefore I could not recommend them on that basis alone. Moreover, their prices are certainly higher than other local repair places.

The owner's comments do not reflect the indisputable facts. ABMS did NOT offer to transfer my files from my computer to a new computer at no cost. I completely understood (or as Jim condescendingly put it "believed") what I was being told and did not want ABMS to order a new monitor once I was told that he had misdiagnosed the problem. I was told that I would receive a call in the morning. However, I did not get a "status update" all day until Jim called after 3:00 p.m.

In addition, when Jim did finally call, rather than addressing the problem with my computer or apologizing for not updating me all day, he started the conversation by scolding me (a grown woman) for not waiting for his return call. Ironically, I received six emails from Yelp advising me that ABMS had responded to my review. Apparently, each time ABMS edited its response, I received another email. Like other reviewers, I was treated rudely, insulted and spoken to like a child.

I took my computer to Abms Computer Repair Center when my computer started to become slower and slower. Jim explained everything he was going to do to my computer and I left it with him. Two days later I went to pick it up and it was good as new. My anti virus had broken somehow and they took it out and replaced it with another anti virus. The cost was very reasonable, the service was very professional and I would go back again if I have any other computer problems.

My desktop computer had a horrid virus. One day while surfing the web I get a blue screen and that's all she wrote, would not turn off/on after that. I know nothing about the inner workings of computers, so the poor thing sat for about a month before I decided to take it it. I chose ABMS on a recommendation from my father. My boyfriend and I brought my desktop in, the repair technicians (I want to say Tim, but he is an older gentleman with glasses) introduced himself, explained the process and the price and my computer was in his hands.

About a week and a half later he called and let us know he would need an additional hour with the computer and would unfortunately have to charge us for another hour. I was a little disappointed by the news however the technician's voiced sounded so honest in telling me his evaluation I gave him the ok and he assured me it would be ready the next day.

When I came to pick up the machine I was given a test drive to to check out how every thing was working. He was able to remove the virus, save all of my important documents and combine them onto one administrator, he even uploaded free anti-virus software. This was over 4months ago and my computer still works just fine. They did a wonderful job and with a lot of professionalism. I'd definitely recommend this place to any one who needs computer or laptop repair.

My computer was sluggish, but still working OK. When I got back my computer after ABMS worked on it, several programs didn't work including Excel and Barracuda (an email plug-in), and I couldn't click through any links in received emails. And it was still sluggish. It's possible that some problems they identified are the cause, but it's too coincidental to be credible. On the theory of "do no harm", I would not recommend this company. BTW, there is a fee to use a credit card.

We've been noticing our computer slowing down and was referred to ABMS by a friend to help get our computer back up to speed. I spoke with George who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He walked me through some home remedies first which helped a lot. He was also able to access my computer from his site and pinpoint the problems we were having.

We brought our computer in to have a few things updated and the virus's and Trojan eliminated! Beware when you let your teen kids use your computer for FaceBook! Those things are nasty! But ABMS was able to destroy and conquer and get us back to top speeds within a few hours! Thanks George & ABMS for an awesome job and continued support! I just got a new expensive laptop for my birthday and it worked fine. But when I plugged in my big screen monitor, I couldn't get a picture. I called HP tech support and after 61 minutes on the phone they couldn't fix my problem. Rather than hassle the return I called a computer savvy friend who suggested I bring it to ABMS where his company gets all their computers serviced.

I brought my equipment into ABMS wondering if I was getting in deeper rather than just going through the inconvenience of returning the computer to HP. I was greeted by Jim who said "let's take a quick look before we do anything". He took the monitor and laptop into his work area and in five minutes returned chuckling and said "I can't charge you for such a simple thing as a bent pin on your monitor cable. I straitened out the pin and everything works perfect." With that kind of honesty and service I know where I am bringing all my repairs! Lawrence M.

I had a virus on my computer and took it to ABMS after being refered by a friend. The computer was fixed in a timely fashion and at a fair price. I was sent home with tools, advice, and shown how to scan my computer to avoid a future virus. I really hope that I wont have a problem again but if I do I will take it here without hesitation and ask for George!

Had a virus and this time--unlike my previous good experience with ABMS, there was zero communication on why the job I asked them to do took two days instead. Being without my laptop for that time cost me writing gigs and kept me from invoicing my clients. This all cost me cash and there really wasn't an apology for any of that. I was spoken to like a child as a female here while my boyfriend (yep, a male) got full explanations on everything wrong and why it took the extra time. (Another client got referred to as a "chick" while I was there and it didn't sound like they were friends.) There were two visits to the store when I was told my computer would be ready and it wasn't.

No real apologies for either of those. I was called a liar by Ken, one of the least personable computer people I've met when I told him that I had been told to come in to pick up by another staff person there. I've sent my friends there, I posted a great review here back in July and THAT's how I got dealt with by them. Spend your money elsewhere.
